About us

Sofia grew up in Latin-America and is your 24/7 contact person in Costa Rica. She is passionate about nature and conservation, and has carried out environmental projects on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica for the past 25 years. She also runs workshops for adolescents and adults on reducing interfamilial violence and bringing people closer to nature. She speaks Spanish, German and English. Her son is 19, so she knows what volunteers want and need!

Arabella belongs to a family that is historically very connected to Guanacaste – her family has a farm with a lot of animals. She studied Tourism and she has two sons. Arabella loves to show 'her country' and 'her people' to volunteers and she is a spanish teacher. She also speaks english and italian and she is also your first contact for the school projects.

Eddie is the long-time and trusted driver for our volunteers. He will pick you up from the airport and help you with your first steps in the country.
